FAQ

For some, True North will take them back to a place that is cozy and familiar, offering a rediscovery of health and wellness that had been previously known but long lost. For others, the journey may offer a new center, one never before experienced. Please see some of our most frequently asked questions below. If you still have questions, please contact us!

  • Once I start seeing a chiropractor, do I always have to go?
When people begin to experience chiropractic care, they realize they feel better, function better and aren’t sick as often. People often want to continue to use chiropractic for wellness and prevention for future health problems. You are not required to; we leave the choice up to you.
  • Do adjustments hurt?
Typically not. If you have an area that is inflamed or tender it may feel uncomfortable during the adjustment. If the pressure is ever too much for you, please let us know so that we can find another technique to adjust you with.
  • Does insurance cover chiropractic?
The majority of insurance plans have benefits for chiropractic. We will check your benefits on your first visit and let you know if your insurance contributes to your chiropractic care.
  • What if my insurance doesn’t have chiropractic benefits or very little chiropractic benefits?
At True North Chiropractic, we offer very affordable treatment and payment plans which many times are less expensive than your insurance copays and deductibles. We will always let you know what the most cost effective way is to pay for your chiropractic care.
  • Will I be adjusted on my first visit?
Typically not. We gather information through consultation and examination on the first visit. On the second visit, your chiropractor takes the time to go over his finding and treatment recommendations and how to best treat your case to help you reach your health goals. On your second visit, you’ll receive your first adjustment.
  • Do you accept Medicare?
    Yes, we are Medicare providers.
  • Do you accept HSA’s or FSA’s?
Yes, we do accept HSA and FSA plans and can provide receipts for those accounts.
