Happy New Year, everyone! I hope everyone is getting out there and enjoying the beautiful weather and the great outdoors!
This month, I would like to share with you one of my favorite local water hikes. You heard me correctly, there is a hike to a waterfall 45 minutes away from True North Chiropractic! If you are from other parts of the country or from Canada, this may not be the same kind of waterfall that you are used to, but it is a waterfall, nonetheless.
Blue Wash Trailhead is located on Cave Creek Road, 2.7 miles north of Bartlett Dam Road. It is best to use the link from Alltrails provided below for directions. The trail isn’t well marked but if you download the map and use the app it is relatively easy to navigate. You will hike through a dry sand creek bed passing an abandoned car. Once you get to the American flag, turn left, and follow the creek bed toward the waterfall. There may be a little bit of water flow in the creek depending on the time of year and the most recent rains.
The hike is relatively short and easy. The next time you have a few hours, I highly recommend checking out this hike!
